Here’s What People had to say about the 2009 African American Pavilion at Book Expo America:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Tony and Yvonne:

ONE WORD - WOW!  I was honored to be a part of The African American Pavilion (doubly so because the Baker booth was across the aisle from you!)

This was my second time at BEA, but my first time as a published author - and boy was it fruitful & fun.

Thank you so much for all that you do!

With gratitude and thanks

Dear Mr. Tony,

Please allow me to apologize for not getting in touch with you sooner.  I did not have your personal e-mail address and unfortunately didn't obtain your business card when I met you.  I decided to  just e-mail the Amber Publications e-mail listed on your website in hopes that you'll receive.  Mr. Rose, it was truly a pleasure and honor for me to not only meet you, but to also have the opportunity to speak with you about my non-profit organization Adele's Literacy LibraryTM  during the BookExpo America in New York City on May 30, 2009.

I want to tell you how grateful I am to you for introducing me to Mr. Tom Joyner Jr., as well as giving me the opportunity to present my story on how Adele's Literacy LibraryTM was established.  Being able to chat with Mr. Tom Joyner Jr., as well as meeting Mr. Neil Foote, Mr. Thomas A. LaVeist, Ph. D. and Mr. Wil LaVeist during the seminar you encouraged me to attend was an added bonus.

Mr. Rose, if you could please share my website with your colleagues and friends; asking them to support Adele's Literacy Library which empowers people to read.  By doing so, they will  share in "making a difference" in someone's life through a book - growing readers one book at a time.  As you know, owww.AdelesLiteracyLibrary.org ne of Adele's Literacy LibraryTM (A.L.L.) goals is to donate millions of brand new books and bookmarks to various schools and organizations.

Again, thank you Mr. Rose, for making my visit to BEA even more special, and for taking the time from your busy schedule to speak with me.  I will be forever grateful.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rose:

First let me send my humblest Thank You for recognizing me as a 2009 African American Pavilion at Book Expo America (AAP/BEA) Award Recipient as a Special Book Industry Professional.

It has been an honor to work on the AAP/BEA Committee and to watch as Tony and Yvonne Rose work tirelessly year round to run a seamless Pavilion. You manage details which are large and minute seeing to the needs of each exhibitor, Large Publishing Houses, Small Presses, Independent Publishers and Self-Published Authors.  The vision to support the written word and  Black literature featuring and profiling authors, publishers and other creative professionals from the Diaspora in the publishing industry is a tremendous and not easy undertaking which you perform day in and day out without a lot of accolades.

Thank you for your example of excellence and dedication.  With heartfelt sentiment. I am  honored to be mentioned in the company of such literary giants and professionals.

Sincerely,

Lynette McMillon

Dear Tony and Yvonne,
Words cannot express my gratitude and joy upon being a part of such a beautiful event. Everyone enjoyed the AAP @BEA and I am getting fabulous feedback. I hope you got back safely and are at home resting.
I was not expecting an award of the magnitude you issued and I  am the happiest person ever!!!! I can really upgrade my summer workshops.
Finally, your book is a beauty and I am so proud  of you. I don't know how you completed that book with the time it takes to plan the BEA. A phenom you are! I am going to have to request you send me a few of those journals which I left,  and so I can get started with the BEA STORY 2009. Loading photos on the site right now. Just grab any you like and add to the collection.  Black folks sure are beautiful.
With love and gratitude,
your Literary Diva Heather, www.disilgold.com

P.S. Look in your mailbox this Friday. Just a token of my appreciation to mi familia. I love you and Therez, Darnelle, Herbert are my sister and brothers. Please take them to dinner on me next week.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi Tony,
Thanks for an awesome Pavilion at BEA!
I noticed in the email from Reed below this info for next year
"BEA 2010, May 25-27 at the JacobK.JavitsConvention Center"
Are the 2010 dates not a weekend? Could this be correct that it won't be held over the weekend? May 25-27, 2010 is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Thanks again.
The 2009 African American Pavilion at BEA was the best ever!!

Hi, Mr. Rose,
It was really great to meet you and to participate and attend the festivities at the African American Pavilion this weekend.  I had a great time interviewing the creators of Zulu Mech 1, in addition to viewing other booths and meeting other attendants.
It's a really great and impressive event.  Please keep me in mind for future events produced by your company. I would love to attend and support your projects. Have a really nice day.
All the best,
Alexis
